Readings: Al Williamson
Publications Edited by Flesk in July 2010, not whether to call this a read as it is basically a collection of drawings and sketches made by Al Williamson throughout his career and from your files. What is the text itself there is only an introduction by a close friend and collaborator of Al , Angelo Torres .
I decided to buy the first volume driven by the great admiration I feel for the Flash Gordon and Star Wars of Al Williamson. So only time I have seen 2 volumes published and the second at the end I decided not to buy it. In this first volume of 62 pages we can see a variety of drawings and sketches of the works in which I participate Al Williamson, from Flash Gordon to western stories, etc. .. We even have the chance to see 4 pages in which he worked for a short story Xenozoic Such its also a close friend and collaborator Mark Schultz and which never saw the light.
can not say that is an indispensable work for comic fans in general but for all those admirers of the great Al Williamson. A good work to recall part of his legacy.

Readings Archives Vol 1 "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova
Title: Historian
Writer: Elizabeth Kostova
No. of pages: 618
Edited by Umbriel Editores 2005
Translation of Umbriel G. Murillo
Original title: The Historian
original Editor: Little Brown & Company / Time Warner Group, New York 2005
"The Historian" is without doubt one of the most addictive readings to which I have been exposed in 2010. The plot revolves around a line of historians and the search for the tomb of Dracula and being that supposedly rests on it. That search, which covers roughly from the late '30s to the '70s, the protagonists will have to travel large number of European countries which Indiana Jones, even more than countries that are run through libraries.
What best taste I've left the work itself is completely moving away from the cliches to which we are accustomed to the vampire genre Draculino and in particular whether the format is: film, TV, comics, novels, etc. .. I say this because the book has almost no fantasy elements with few exceptions and immerses us in the search for the vampire Dracula through rigorous research historical figure of Prince Vlad Tepes " Drakul " of Wallachia. That is why I believe that the novel is closer to the works of Dan Brown not the "Dracula " by Bram Stoker .
If you like Dan Brown , Indiana Jones or other works of historical mysteries is certainly I play catch. Another positive aspect of the book is that it manages to convey to the reader the need to read and love reading and research through reading as any other work I've read has managed to convey. And every time I closed the book until the next day, felt the need to get into any library to sniff pending at any time lift the head of my cubicle to find deposited there an ancient and mysterious book.

What Do Lens Converters Do
11 new images from Game of Thrones
The Joffrey Principe
Forel Syrio
take me back home after a month-long holiday in Argentina to make an entry summary of what happened to adaptation televised Game of Thrones since my last post several weeks ago. The truth is that some new things have come on the show but no big deal.
Let us begin with the 11 high-resolution pictures that hung today in Making Game of Thrones . Of new characters and scenes quite recognizable to fans of the series George RR Martin .
Robb and Bran collecting Worg pups
party scene
previous and Daenerys Jorah Mormont
The Matareya with Jon Snow on Winterfell
The Joffrey Principe
with the same face of the son of the whores REMIL always imagine. They have nailed this. Perhaps your hair could be a tad longer.
Ned Stark. No explanations here. Do not want to spoil anything.
Again Ned and I imagine that is part of the scene of the meeting of the puppies.
Catelyn Tully (or Stark to be the wife of Ned ). Probably the character that less fits the image I had of it. Made her without some of those wrinkles and more beautiful.
Bran in the courtyard of Winterfell . Surely when they are practicing with wooden swords with the Baratheon
Forel Syrio
classes giving the famous Arya Stark in Red Fort.
Arrival Robert Baratheon to Winterfell with Stark kneeling at his feet.
As you can see it keeps going well. Surely everyone will have characters that otherwise imagined, as it happens to me with Catelyn , but that's nothing vital to something that appears to be absolutely excellent.
The following link on the page HBO you can find the first set of images that took this time to be used as wallpapers: HBO - Game of Thrones .
On the other hand, people in the fan blog Winter is Coming, apparently had access (the HBO invite them) to spend 15 minutes in the series that took place in Los Angeles ago a couple of days. What they saw was still an unfinished product and missing some computer effects and the soundtrack was for Gladiator and The Lord of the Rings . If you want to quietly read the summary of you can do what they saw here , that if it is in English.
Then I leave you with two images: the first and we saw earlier but this time we enlarged picture showing things that were not the first time (basically witnessing Robb Jon with the training Bran arc). The second is an image of the premiere of the series with the release date (April 17) and the standard of Baratheon and also posted on the blog appears in the series. Can be used as nice wallpaper.
Finally, with this out, I leave a video that also hung in the blog series that explains the work of craftsmen who worked with armor. The video was hanged last December 17 and arriving here a little late though I had already seen.
